The Best Vintage Muscle Car

X

There are many muscle cars around to chose from. Most are American, they did coin the phrase, and most seem to jump out from the 1960’s and 70’s. It fills your head with visions of Steve McQueen sliding around corners in a Ford Mustang, or Starski & Hutch racing through city streets in their distinctively painted Grand Torino. However, the most prominent and assuredly most atrophied American muscle cars out there would have to be the late 60’s Pontiac GTO and three decades worth of the Chevrolet Corvette; anything from the 1980’s on is not considered much of a muscle car in most car enthusiast circles.

These models are still obtainable and make great collector’s cars, show cars and even excellent project cars for those looking to restore or customize – I found one lady collector from having a steamy mature phone sex session. Finding parts and components for these models of muscle cars can be quite a hobby in its own right, but is what many vintage car enthusiast live for. There are enough OEM and aftermarket suppliers available through catalogues, and on the internet, to build and entirely new vintage GTO or Corvette car from scratch.

When purchasing, or restoring, a vintage muscle car colour can be a major concern. Many vintage cars show off just fine in metallic orange, flashy purple or some other custom and highly priced colours. But the true American vintage muscle car should be in one of only a couple traditional colours; Midnight Blue or Candy Apple Red.
